GumShip is a macOS app published by NYRAI LLC. It is designed to keep your data on your own Mac. We do not operate servers that receive your content, and we do not run analytics or telemetry inside the app.
What stays on your Mac
- Your Gumroad session. You sign into Gumroad inside an embedded browser window. The login session (cookies) is stored locally on your Mac in the app's private storage. Your Gumroad password is never entered into, seen by, or stored by GumShip.
- Your license. Your license key is stored locally, encrypted via the macOS keychain, and bound to this Mac.
- Your builds and release notes. The files you upload and the notes you write are handled locally and sent only to Gumroad as part of the action you trigger.
Network connections GumShip makes
- Gumroad (gumroad.com / api.gumroad.com) — to display your dashboard, perform the actions you run, and verify your license key.
- Your local Claude Code — GumShip runs the
claudecommand on your Mac to draft release notes. This uses your own Claude installation. - gumship.nyrai.ai — only to check for app updates.
GumShip does not send your content to NYRAI LLC. We have no analytics, tracking, or advertising.
License verification
When you activate a license, your license key is sent to Gumroad's license-verification API to confirm the purchase. This is governed by Gumroad's own privacy policy.
